The Finches
In case you Bay Area guys haven't seen this duo yet, I would really recommend checking them out. Nothing earth-shattering new, but awesome folk-pop. Like if early 90s K Records pop was really good. The Finches scream KDVS-era Rick Taylor obsession/crush. They've played up in Sac/Davis a lot and play regularly in their bay area base. www.finchesmusic.com

Random Thoughts
Some random thoughts in hopes of generating some activity around here:
My cousin Paolo's b-ball season ended with an upset in the tourney finals and a scathing article in the local paper about how, while he scored 20, he shot 31% from the field (ouch). He'll start summer ball in the coming weeks and return as a senior next year.
Ever check out gigposters.com? I have this GBV poster up at work, just ordered this one from the Hold Steady show in MPLS that I went to, and was admiring this earlier. You have to dig but there is some pretty great stuff.
Flickr is another good one. Check out this photo of the Plumber's Hall in Redding - once rocked by Luke McLuke (Micah, KW), Thornucopia (Jed), and For Pete's Sake (yours truly) as well as Case For Radio (K. Bauman), Buick, Vomit Launch, and others.
Happy Friday!

Charles Gosher dies
from the Sun City Girls site:
With deep regret, we must announce that Charles Gocher passed away yesterday in Seattle due to a long battle with cancer at the age of 54. He is survived by the two of us who adopted him as a brother 25 years ago and his many friends around the world. He will be missed more than most could ever know. Our thanks to everyone for their support and encouragement during the past three, very difficult years. Many of you were not aware that Charles was ill and that’s because he wanted it that way. Details of a memorial in his honor will be announced soon. ---Alan and Richard Bishop
